Two views of abortion

From the Institute on Religion & Democracy:

Religious Left Celebrates Roe vs. Wade.
I find it pretty hard to see that Jesus would have been a Roe vs. Wade supporter, given His words about the sanctity of marriage and His compassion for children.

United Methodist Bishop Denounces Abortion.
Bishop Timothy Whitaker has made a strong statement denouncing the "moral horror" of abortion, and decries the involvement of the United Methodist Church in the RCRC.

It's ludicrous that RCRC can claim 20 millions members. They're certainly not at the mall in Washington every frigid January. The opposition can be counted in dozens not millions.

Every church should have their "attendees" fill out a card on an unannounced Sunday with their support of Pro-life(save a life) or Reproductive rights (cease a life)with five dollar donation. I'm sure the pro-life checks would be in the 80th to 90th percentile.

Thank God for Bishop Timothy Whitaker 's moral courage. "Be not afraid" Bishop! I'm glad to see he is morally feeding his lambs. More Bishops need to be teaching souls. How does this sound: "Informed Minds, Caring Hearts, Working Arms." Catchy!

He correctly points out the problem with the ill feelings of some pro-lifers, of aligning with the republican party. I always answer party affiliations questions this way. I vote 100% pro-life democrat ...when afforded the opportunity. Incidentally I have a Pro-life Democrat as congressman in TN.

Octogenarian Democrat voters are in denial. They really think they belong to the Pro-life Party.

Casey Democrats are to be "gagged", has costed the Democratic party and Kerry. If they don't make room on their platform, their gon-zo.
